After graduating from the Toho Gakuen School of Music, Kenichi Nakagawa continued his study at the Antwerp Conservatory of Music. He won the 3rd Prize at 1997 Gaudeams International Contemporary Music Competition, and made numerous concert and radio appearances in Europe. He now lives in Japan where he is on high demand as a soloist, chamber musician as well as a conductor. He teaches at the Ochanomizu University and the Toho Gakuen School of Music.
