Chiyoko Noguchi studied at the Tokyo University of the Arts and the Julliard School. She won the Julliard Concerto Competition and made her debut at the Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. She was also awarded the Young Artists Debut Award after winning the Artists International Audition, and made her NY debut at the Weil Hall of the Carnegie Hall. After returning to Japan in 1995, she completed her BA at the Tokyo University of the Arts, and was awarded the Special Award of the Wieniawski International Violin Competition in 1996. She is the leader of the Tokyo Solisten Ensemble and a member of the Kioi Sinfonietta Tokyo. She teaches at the Tokyo University of the Arts and the Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music.
